Avishek Das Gupta accomplished B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) from the Department of Textile Machinery Design and Maintenance and is now serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Textile Engineering at International Standard University. After the completion of his graduation, he started his career as a Process Auditor at Silver Composite Textiles Mills Ltd. There he had to work with root cause analysis of customer compensation, re-production of fabric, identifying the strip, mild strip and re-bleach of yarn dyeing, cold pad batch, and pad thermosol dyeing. Previously, he completed his 2 months long internship at GMS Textiles Ltd. Along with a good academic career, he has experience of working on sensors and possesses a good knowledge of Arduino, Raspberry Pi and SolidWorks. On June 2023, he received the ITMA 2023 Italian Textile Technology Award, and he is one of the three students who have achieved this award for the first time from Bangladesh. He also participated in different international conferences and presented his research. With his prior research experience and industry exposure, he effectively integrates these practical insights with his theoretical knowledge to deliver the highest standard of education to his students. Mr. Avishek is also highly knowledgeable about the latest technologies and machinery in the textile industry, providing his students with up-to-date insights and practical knowledge currently applied in the textile sector.
