Sultana Musfika Rahman, Lecturer, Department of English of International Standard University, has completed her graduation in English Language and Literature and post-graduation in English Literature from the Department of English, Rajshahi University and went on to pursue Masters of Arts in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics at Coventry University, UK. She has conducted her research in Critical Discourse Analysis and Systemic Functional Linguistics and completed a Dissertation Titled “An Interpersonal Metafunction Analysis of The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s International Interviews on the Rohingya Issue” under the Supervision of Dr. Sheena Gardner, Professor of Applied Linguistics and Associate Professor of Research Centre for Arts, Memory and Communities at Coventry University.
Sultana Musfika Rahman has teaching experiences in different levels both home and abroad and she has worked as an ESL teacher in the Foxford Community and Arts College, Coventry, United Kingdom. During that time she has also achieved the certification for completing B-MELTET (Blending MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) for Language Teacher Education with Telecollaboration between Coventry University and Florida Universitària - Unitat d'Educació (Valencia, Spain) and has gained knowledge about exploiting technology to enhance distant learning. With an overall IELTS score of 8 she has worked as an IELTS instructor in Bangladesh as well. Being a versatile educator, she has successfully completed her venture for sharing knowledge with learners of various nationalities and backgrounds.
Sultana Musfika’s areas of interests include Functional Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Material Designing for EAP, and different spheres of pedagogy. She wishes to explore the ELT sectors of both home and abroad and carry on further research to enhance the English Learning Experience for the learners of Bangladesh.
