ISU Research Ethics Committee (ISUREC)

The ISU Research Ethics Committee (ISUREC) has been so designed as to review studies related to business, humanities, social sciences, science, engineering and technology with a view to ensuring that they conform locally and internationally accepted ethical guidelines. The committee performs monitoring activities during conducting a research.

The major responsibility of the Research Ethics Committee (REC) is to protect participants/informants from any potential risk and hazard during carrying out the research. The Committee takes into account all possible benefits for the informants and stakeholders of the community in which the researches are conducted.

The Committee possess the authority to approve, or modify the undertaken studies. Moreover, it performs other functions which involve adopting policies and providing feedbacks, if needed. In case of international collaborative research, the Committee has the right to align the native country’s existing laws with international standards.

Reviewing a research paper is vital in order to get it published in peer reviewed high impact factor journal. In fact, the top ranked journals do not publish the results of research if they do not receive the approval from a research ethics committee.
