Overview
It is our pleasure to introduce the Faculty of Science and Engineering, International Standard University (ISU) to the stakeholders, especially the prospective students of relevant disciplines. Since its inception, the university has been committing to ensure quality education through some well organized Departments. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Department of Textile Engineering (TE) are the two such departments, running under the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers the program - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science - and the Department of Textile Engineering offers its program- Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering. These two programs are UGC approved, appropriately designed and are being run by highly qualified teaching staff following international standard course curricula, which mainly focus on outcome-based education.
The students of both programs have bright prospects of career development in their preferred areas of devotion, both within and outside the country. Competent graduates to be produced by the Faculty at ISU may also have preference in jobs of different units of Standard Group.
Our commitment is to ensure fairness in all relevant aspects including student selection, teaching and examinations, which surely help ensure quality education. Insha Allah, we will try our best to maintain quality in the governance of these academic programs offered so that the graduates can face the challenges in the field of Science and Engineering under the (post) covid-19 situation in the 21st century.
Message from Dean
It is my privilege to introduce the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at International Standard University (ISU) to all stakeholders, especially our prospective students. Since its establishment, ISU has been dedicated to providing quality education through well-structured academic programs under its specialized departments. Currently, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at ISU consists of three potential departments: the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offering a B.Sc. in Computer Science, the Department of Textile Engineering (TE), offering a B.Sc. in Textile Engineering, and the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management (AMM), offering a Bachelor of Apparel Merchandising and Management. All of these programs are UGC-approved, carefully designed, and taught by a team of highly qualified faculty members. Our curricula are aligned with international standards and emphasize Outcome-Based Education (OBE), ensuring that our students acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Graduates of our faculty enjoy excellent career prospects in their chosen fields, both at home and abroad. Additionally, ISU graduates receive priority placement across various units of Standard Group, one of the largest and most renowned industrial groups in Bangladesh. ISU also ensures a politics-free academic environment and provides a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus, particularly for female students, making it one of the most secure and student-friendly universities in the country. We are firmly committed to academic excellence, fairness, and transparency in every aspect, from student admission to classroom teaching, assessment, examinations, and beyond. Our goal is to nurture competent graduates who are capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
